Dress Code

 

For Girls:

  • Plain, black, formal, business-like suit (tailored trouser or skirt).
  • Formal plain white / light / medium grey sleeved shirt or blouse with a modest neckline.
  • Plain, v-neck, black / grey jumper or cardigan which shows the shirt or blouse may be worn, but never instead of a jacket.

Further guidance:-

  • The suit skirt must match the jacket and be knee length (the material must not be of a knitted or jersey material).
  • Trousers must match suit jackets and are to be in a formal, tailored, business style (no shorts, tracksuit bottoms, jeans, cut-off styles, skin-tight trousers or leggings).
  • Shirts or blouses should not be sleeveless / strappy tops.  Low necklines, pictures, patterns and logos are not permitted. 
  • Roll necks, hoodies or sweat shirts are not permitted.
  • Jackets should be blazer/suit style. No casual, leather or denim styles are permitted.
  • Tights should be black, navy or neutral and of a plain design (no patterns).
  • Black (flat or low heeled) formal shoes are to be worn. Any form of boot, plimsoll or trainer is not allowed.
  • No bare midriffs or low tops.
  • Discreet make up and jewellery may be worn.  Small ear studs and / or a small nose stud may be worn but no other facial piercings are allowed.
  • Extreme hairstyles are not allowed. Patterns or logos must not be shaved or cut into hair or eyebrows.
  • Headscarves, where worn, must be black or grey.
  • A plain, dark winter coat may be worn on top of the suit jacket for travel to and from school but must not be worn during the school day at any time.
  • No t-shirts or polo shirts.  No logos or vivid patterns.
  • The Brampton Manor Academy tie may be worn, but no other ties or neck scarves are allowed.

 

For Boys:

  • Plain, black, formal, business-like suit.
  • Plain, V-neck, black or grey jumper or cardigan which shows the shirt, may be worn but never instead of a jacket.
  • Brampton Manor Academy tie.
  • Black formal shoes - any form of boot, plimsoll or trainer is not allowed.
